Milarepa cultural preservation

Lhodrak seykhar was built by the great master and saint jetsun milarepa  the renowned disciple

Of marpa rinpoche.on this occasion and to honour the great work of milarepa,a grand religious festival is observed with ritual dance in lhodrak Tibet.

Taking refuge in india our elders from a group in dekyiling ,dehradun to practice the same in order to preserve our rich culture and arts. every member of milarepa cultural preservation share responsibility to preserve and celebrate their tradition.

About milarepa

Milarepa was born in western Tibet to prosperous family.when his father died, hisfamily was deprived of their wealth by his aunt and uncle.At his mother request ,milarepa left home and studied sorcery to take revenge,killing many people.train black magic to wreak revenge on those who had blighted her life .so

Milarepa proved adept at the practices he was taught, and unleashed a tide of destruction,killing many.

But he came to regret his action for shedding the bad karma he had acquired during his revengeful  adolescence .so he had to purify himself from the negative karma he had accumulated,exposed him to an extremely hard apprenticeship . among other trial, he had to build tower out of rocks to his guru marpa specifications with his bare hands,only to be ordered to tear them down again.finaly the legendary nine storey tower build in lhodrak.on that very day completing this tower people of that area lhodak celebrate this day as a festival.

People celebrating festival inorder to preserve culture
